It’s been a long time since my last post. In the last four years I’ve had two kids, and moved from British Columbia to Ontario. Life has went by a lot faster than I thought it could have ever gone by. I’m starting to get back into a real swing with art and practicing it. Over my four year absence I did find small snippets of time to create, but now that my little ones are a touch older I’m making more time. I hope to get back to posting about art, life, and adventure. But until then I’ll just say hello!
I hope you had a wonderful Easter weekend full of family and friends! I had a wonderful weekend with family, and I some how I managed to get into the garden and start my seeds. I am looking forward to spring and a new season of growth.
I am writing to let you all know that this weekend April 10, 11, &12 will be my Final Show & Sale with Studio 113 at the Rotary Centre for the Arts. I am both excited to begin my new adventure in life as a mother, but I am also very sad to leave such a wonderful space and good friends. As some of you may already know this is the final hurrah to the March Madness Sale. All artworks in the studio will be 50% off the labeled price, that includes framed artworks & paintings. I will also have all of my hand bound books marked at $5 off the labeled price. So this is a great time to invest in an original Ganson art work.
Both of my Studio Mates will also be showing their art works and selling them a great prices as well.

You may be wondering what March Maddness is all about. Well as life would have it I have to let my studio go. It is for all the right reasons and it makes me happy to know that another artist will get to take over the space and experience all that I have and more!
As April is my last month in the space and it turns out I have made a ton of art in my many year there, some great other simple studies. So I’m having a March Maddness Sale! The more art that finds a great home the better for my home. No reasonable offer will be refused, I ship, and I take cash, credit, and do paypal.
How do you see the works? If your i Kelowna stop by Studio 113 at the Rotary Centre for the Arts. I will post them here on my blog, on Facebook (Trina Ganson), on twitter (@trinaganson), and on instagram. I will use the hash tags, #studiofriday, #marchmaddness, and #studiosale. This will all begin March first so please share as you see fit, the more eyes the better!
I will post the images with the original asking price and you can take it from there.
I am looking forward to getting some of my art into your homes!
Thank you in advance!
It has been some time since my last post and things still haven’t slowed down. 2014 was super busy near the end and next thing I knew it was a new year already, and 2015 hasn’t started off any slower. I’ve joined a group of local Okanagan Artists in a new challenge to create everyday. This is different from the one I joined in on last year (#opus6x6), as this one is about showing what your up to on a day by day basis. This new group has set a goal of a whole year of posting daily creativity… you can follow the progression on any social media website by searching #opusartdaily and if you live in the Okanagan feel free to join us and post your works using the above hashtag.
Not that one challenge is enough, I’ve joined another! Opus Art Supplies has posted a challenge to all artists to do a 28 day challenge for the month of February. Same concept as the one I joined did last year, one completed work per-day. This challenge is based on the idea that it takes 28 days to build a habit.. so lets build a good habit together. This art challenge is world wide and has been super fun to both do and watch. The hashtag for this one is #opusdailypractice, and it is not to late to join in!
I hope so see your creations!
I know that this is coming down the pipe quick. I have been busy getting ready for two very wonderful events happening this weekend and all across Canada! The first one is the Cultural Crawl, or other wise know as Canadian Cultural Days. So Check out your local paper for a Cultural guide as this is an whole country events! Friday, September 26, Saturday September 27, and Sunday, September 28, 2014.
Then there is the Esty Made in Canada Show! This is also an across Canada show but will only be found in select cities, but the product will not disappoint. Below are a few links to find out more about this event and to see if one is in your neighborhood. The one I will be attending will be in Kelowna held at the Sandhill Winery located at 1125 Richter St, Kelowna, BC. on Saturday September 27th, 2014, from 10-5pm. By All Means Paint is an amazing video that Opus Art Supplies has put together based off of Vincent Van Gogh`s quote. I am so very honored that they ask me to create an image for this video. I created a painting of one of my squids, and my word was Means. So check it out and let me know what you think. The video is super cool and bound to stir up some emotion. Check out the video at http://www.opusartsupplies.com/byallmeanscreate and Tweet your thoughts: @OpusArtSupplies #ByAllMeansCreate or contact me directly @trinaganson
I am looking forward to your thoughts and perhaps your own interpretation of Vincent Van Gogh’s quote.
